Amanzi Lodge, Houses and Landscapes are privately run by husband and wife team, Andrew and Julia Mama.
Their vision was to create a beautiful environment and highlight the very best of Africa, taking their favourite elements and showcasing them in a way that would appeal to everyone.
Both of them are creative in their respective ways. Andrew loves food and gardens, Julia loves interior design, and African art. They want their guests to enjoy the combination of their passions. Amanzi was created for guests to experience the beauty of African art, great food, interior design and spectacular landscaped gardens.

The elegant Interiors have been designed by Kerry Van Leenhoff to enhance the gastronomic theatre that you will experience.

khaya nyama wombles
Wombles is the legacy of seasoned chef and restaurateur Duncan Barker. Located in the old Amanzi Restaurant it is now run by Yvette and Tiffany Barker. Wombles is essentially a Steakhouse but the menu has so much more. Grilled prawns, calamaris, duck with black cherry sauce and flambéed crepe suzette to name just a few. Richly decorated in an amazing setting, Wombles is a must visit when in Harare. The vibrant cosmopolitan nature of its clientele and loyal following is a testament to this.
